The pool area is a genuine gem, perfect for a dip after a long day. it’s kept clean, making it a refreshing spot to unwind. The overall vibe is charming, with well-maintained common areas that still reflect some character despite the years.

Many of the rooms are showing their age, with issues like creaky floors, outdated furniture, and questionable bathroom fixtures. I encountered noise from outside that's hard to ignore, especially with motorcycles revving through the night. The air conditioning was a hassle—had to shut it down manually since the remote was non-functional, and I noticed a persistent issue with mosquitoes in my room, making for a less-than-comfortable stay. Prices for meals are steep compared to local options, yet the quality was average at best, which feels like a missed opportunity.

Orchid Inn is quite the experience, if you enjoy creaky floors and plumbing issues. also, how delightful to be right under the booming bar area! I woudl ve been appreciative of a complimentary drink or room upgrade for my troubles, but alas, I was not treated like a princess. I almost wrote a good review, but simply couldn’t.

great location,, but noisy at night

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to many attractions. I appreciated the free parking, which is rare in this area. The pool offered lovely views, and it was well-maintained, providing a nice escape from the bustling local scene.

The noise from nearby establishments made it difficult to relax in the evenings.

really loved the location, just a block from all the action and staff were super helpful! the food was really good too, especially the eggs benedict. room was basic but did the job for our group. we had fun at the pool area and enjoyed the live band on sundays. housekeeping was ace, always clean and tidy.

the room was noisy and had some roaches and lizards, and i think they need to upgrade some areas for better comfort.
